Getting to and from Tegel Airport by Public Transport

Tegel Airport is in the Nothwest of the city, app. 5 km from the Western inner city and about 8 km from the Eastern inner city. The shortest connections to the underground system are the bus lines 109 and 128 from the underground stations Kurt-Schumacher-Platz (U6) or Jakob-Kaiser-Platz (U7). There is also a bus connection to S- und U-Bahnhof Jungfernheide (S4/U7). Besides the regular bus lines the Expressbus X9 offers an especially fast connection from Bahnhof Zoo to Tegel. Additionally, there is the JetExpressBus TXL which goes from Mitte to the airport every 10 minutes (weekend: 20 minutes) and stops only for the most important stations. A single ticket costs 2 Euros, for the environs (Zone C) 2, 60 (valid for 2 hours).
